Don't cut costs on your legal fee's

Buying or selling a property for most of us is the single largest transaction we are likely to get involved with.

With a buoyant market we have seen dramatic increases in property values along with increased legilative burdens on the process.

Are you sure of what you are buying? Do you want to ensure that you receive the full value for the property you're selling? And perhaps most importantly, do you really want to trust this large financia transaction to the cheapest conveyancing solicitor you can find?

Recent surveys show that picking the right solicitor could speed up the transaction avoiding un-neccessary delays and spot any potential problems before you are commited to the deal.

Before picking your solicitor consider these points;

  • Does the firm have a local office? Someone who knows the area will already be aware of problem estates or builders. A local office makes it easier for you to sign documents in person.
  • Does the firm have a good reputation? Ask friends or neighbours which solicitor they used.
  • Good Communication: One of the most important part of the whole process is being kept informed - many solicitors now offer text messaging and a secure website for you to log in to and view your tranaction details as well as the traditional telephone.
